On Wednesday, November 26 2008 Mumbai India was attacked by a terrorist cell from Pakistan. I covered the attacks for the New York Times focussing much of my time on the Nariman House Chabad Lubavitch Jewish Center while two other photographers covered the Taj and Oberoi Hotels and other parts of the city.

In August of 2009 I was contacted by the Sunday Times Magazine in London to return to Nariman House and photograph Rabbi Avraham Berkowitz as he prayed for the dead and began to make arrangements to rebuild the center. I was one of the first photographers to enter Nariman House after the November 2008 attacks.
