Projects: Surviving Childhood

At the Sion Hospital on the outskirts of Dharavi, one of Asia's largest slums, a staff of dedicated doctors and nurses do their best to keep the devastatingly poor children of Mumbai alive.

With one of the most advanced NICU and pediatric care units of any public hopsital in Mumbai children from all over the city are treated at Sion. The medical teams here face HIV/AIDS, TB, pediatric cancer and premature births with a level of dedication rarely found.
